Following a verification visit under Article 35 of Euratom Treaty, conducted in Greece on 20-25 October 2012 by an EC experts team, the EC main conclusions and the relevant technical report are now available. According to Article 35, member states are required to have in place infrastructure for the environmental radioactivity monitoring in air, water and soil.
ΕΕΑΕ welcomes the agreement on the text amending the Community framework for nuclear safety (2009/71/EURATOM) reached under the Greek Presidency. This file was set as the priority of the Greek Presidency in the field of EURATOM.

A workshop entitled "Electromagnetic fields and health effects: from science to policy and public awareness" is co-organized by the European Commission and the Greek Atomic Energy Commission (EEAE) under the auspices of the EU Council Greek Presidency. The workshop will take place in Athens on March 28, 2014 (Cotsen Hall, Anapiron Polemou 9 str., next to Gennadius Library, Kolonaki district, Athens).
EEAE Board has approved the National Diagnostic Reference Levels (NDRL) applied in radiological examinations and interventional cardiology procedures, in order to be issued in the form of a Ministerial Decision by the Ministry of Health.
