Welcome to the Greek Atomic Energy Commission.

We present the main findings of a nationwide public opinion survey about perceptions, attitudes and knowledge on radiation-related topics, such as the use of ionizing radiation in medicine, natural radiation, electromagnetic fields, nuclear energy, management of radioactive waste and management of radiation emergencies. 

The 6th cycle of the postgraduate educational course in radiation protection and the safety of radiation sources began on October 8, 2018 in Athens, in the premises of the Greek Atomic Energy Commission (EEAE).

EEAE presents a summary report on the dosimetry audits conducted over the last 15 years in radiotherapy centers, as an important and useful tool in ensuring patient dosimetry accuracy and consistency in radiotherapy.

The update of the “Arrangement between the Greek Atomic Energy Commission (EEAE) and the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for the exchange of technical information and cooperation in nuclear safety matters” was signed today 19 September 2018, in Vienna, on the margins of the 62nd General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (ΙΑΕΑ).

The control of mosquito population by using nuclear techniques is the aim of the project "Developing Genetic Control Programs on Aedes Invasive Mosquitoes in the European Region", which is funded by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) under the Technical Cooperation Programme, and implemented by Greek research teams. 

ΕΕΑΕ presents the Annual Activity Report of the year 2017, a report which summarizes the whole range of its activities throughout last year.

The Greek Atomic Energy Commission (EEAE) publishes the final report of the IRRS (Integrated Regulatory Review Service) follow-up mission in Greece which was conducted from 19 to 24 November 2017.
